Posti has previously announced that it will invest more than EUR 100 million in strengthening the parcel and e-commerce operations and the distribution network. Increasing Parcel Locker capacity is one of the most important development areas: Posti currently has 2,200 Parcel Lockers containing more than 130,000 individual lockers. Capacity will be significantly increased, and the number of Parcel Lockers will increase by about 10-15 Parcel Lockers and hundreds of lockers per week. The locker requires a special metal numeric keyboard with a display screen. DAVO successfully won the project with its technical and product advantages.
 
Finland is close to the Arctic, and the weather conditions are very harsh, with continuous snowfall in winter and extremely cold. The average daytime temperature is as low as -20 degrees. Therefore, there are many special requirements for this customized Keypad:
1. The various components, display screens, and even wires of Keypad must meet the low temperature resistance standard of -20 degrees;
2. The working voltage of the locker is 3V, under the low voltage of 3V, ensure that the backlight of the Keypad and the backlight of the display are sufficiently bright.
3. The power consumption of the Keypad should be less than 80mA. In order to save power consumption, the keyboard needs to have sleep and wake-up functions
4. The display text should support three languages, they are Finnish, Swedish and English, and can be switched freely without being affected.
 
In order to complete this customized keypad, many software and hardware engineers in DAVO worked hard day and night to optimize the software program and PCB circuit structure many times, increase the keypad's water resistance, low temperature resistance and energy saving. In order to ensure product quality, from wire to various components, we not only look for materials that can withstand -20 degrees in the domestic market, but even purchase low-temperature resistant displays from overseas at high prices for testing to meet customer standards and requirements.
 
After unremitting efforts, DAVO finally developed and delivered this metal keypad that fully meets the standards and satisfies customers.
